Sacred Coeur

The entire song ‘Khulke Khulke’ was shot at Sacred Coeur. The song combines Indian and French culture, the actors are wearing Indian traditional dresses and the rest of the dancers are wearing Cabaret dresses, a hommage to the famous caberet places around Montmartre, such as Moulin Rouge.

The photo below depicts this beautiful combine of cultures perfectly:

Shrya Gill (Vaani Kapoor) is learning how to ride a bike with the help of Dharam Gulati (Ranveer Singh).  This scene takes place at Pantheon with the song ‘You and Me’.

Pont Alexandre III Bridge

Shrya Gill (Vaani Kapoor) and Dharam Gulati (Ranveer Singh) are dancing near the Pont Alexandre III bridge (we can see it in the background of this shot).  This is where the dance battle begins… (from Nashe Si Chadh Gayi)

And then we finally get to the romance, finally…  This romantic closing scene of the song at night on Pont Alexandre III is similar to Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris which also shows a romantic finale on this stunning bridge.

Bibliothèque historique de la ville de Paris

Scene from the beginning of the song Ude Dil Befikre at the historical library in Paris’s 4th arrondissement where the lead actress runs and dances through the library .   This library specialises in the history of the city of Paris and has a wonderful collection of old documents, photographs, drawing, etc…

Parc des Buttes Chaumont bridge

This scene takes place at the Parc des Buttes Chaumont which is an incredible beautiful park in nothern Paris.   This is not a tourist hotspot, but is well-known and well-loved amongst locals and a great spot for a night out (two fantastic bars in the park) or a picnic and stroll during a nice summer’s day.

Place des Voges

Vaani tells Ranveer about her boyfriend’s marriage proposal at this fountain.

Place du Trocadéro

During the song, there is of course a shot showing the Eiffel Tower lit up at night.   This was taken at Place du Trocadero which provides a great view of the Eiffel Tower from a hill on the other side of the river.

Check out some cool behind the scenes videos of ‘the filming of’ the film.
